Celebration Square turns into a snowpark thanks to APIK MISSISSAUGA

For three days straight, the Square will be host to a series of accessible and free activities, bursting out of the blocks with a spectacular skiing and snowboarding competition! The whole family, from kids to adults, is invited to come enjoy this adrenaline-pumping special program, designed for people who love to get moving and have fun in the winter.

This urban park will welcome a roster of professional athletes, including American skiing legend Tom Wallish, professional snowboarder Natalie Allport, Canadian Championships gold slopestyle medallist Frank Jobin, snowboarder and Olympian medalists, Laurie Blouin, Olympian skier Meghan Oldman, who has brought home hardware from many celebrated ski and snowboard competitions. They’ll be performing their mind-blowing tricks for the public, who can watch these astonishing performances for free.

More than 80 male and female athletes from here and around the world will be going head-to-head on the slopes for a chance to win a $100,000 prize purse, judged on the quality and style of their tricks and descents. The installation in Celebration Square, which was custom-built for the occasion, was created by Today’s Park. The competitions promise to bring out the very best in the participants, with music and flashing lights adding to the electrifying ambiance. Since watching the competitions is just as thrilling as participating in them, absolutely everyone is invited to come and see them. The event is an original TRIBU creation.

Don’t miss it on Friday: snowskate takes center stage with the best of the best in North America, presented by Ambitions Snowskate. Skiing and snowboarding competitions, snowskate classes, DJ sets and afterparties! The snowy mountain vibe that descends on downtown offers an excellent way to enjoy winter with friends or family.
